Welcome to Beginning Tlingit I. While you are in class please contribute in a positive, thoughtful, and respectful manner. The goal of this course is to introduce sound, words, and phrases of the Tlingit language as we move toward language proficiency.
You will be graded on the following:
- attention
- participation
- quizzes
- language demonstrations
- semester project
Because we will be studying a language that is difficult, I want to encourage you to keep going, rather than mark you down for what you did not do right. I will give you the tools and methods to learn this language. But it is you that must make the decision, out of the classroom, to practice your language.
