Mrs. Arelene Wilson

Mrs. Wilson loves to teach! It has been her passion and joy for 35 years! During her career, she has had the opportunity to teach children, youth, and adults in a variety of settings and cultures. She has an extreme passion for the arts, Native Cultures, science, math, and reading. It would not be unusual at all to walk into her class and see her animated, expressively using her arms and hands as she teaches, bursting into song to make a point, cheering with all her heart as a student succeeds, or oral reading with mesmerizing expression! She laughs, cries, celebrates, and has empathy side by side with her students. Her positive classroom environment and high expectations deal with respect, responsibility, safety, but most of all…love and compassion for all.

Mrs. Wilson is very aware that “It takes a village to raise a child!” She loves having community members share their talents and knowledge with her students, whether in the classroom or on fieldtrips out in the community. Parents are always welcome to visit, share, and volunteer in Mrs. Wilson’s classroom. She knows a parent’s influence and support at home has a monumental affect on their child’s academic success. Successful teaching is definitely a TEAM effort! Come join our TEAM!
