Wrangell Public Schools

is accepting applications for the 2026-2027 School Year:

 

K-12 Special Education Teacher: The teacher is responsible for ensuring that our special education students receive appropriate instruction and support with an emphasis on inclusion into the regular education classroom. This position requires an Alaskan Type A Teaching Certificate with appropriate endorsement in Special Education.  Salary range: $50,750 - $102,750 annually.

Anticipated Start Date: August 20, 2026.

 

Paraprofessionals: Paraprofessionals work one-on-one or in small groups with students in the Special Education or Indian Education program.  The paraprofessional will provide support for the student's IEP and tutoring.  This position requires a high school diploma and an associate’s degree or equivalent, or the ability to pass the Para Pro Assessment.  These are part-time, nine-month positions. Salary Range: $17.73 - $25.55/hour DOE. Anticipated Start Date: August 20, 2026.

 

Accounting Clerk: The accounting clerk assists the business manager in maintaining financial records of the district accounting system, including, but not limited to, accounts payable and purchasing. This is a part-time, 12-month position working in the school district office. Salary placement is Column D on the Classified Salary Schedule, earning $19.38-27.64/hour DOE.  Anticipated Start Date: ASAP.
